The Alfred & Elizabeth Nyarko Foundation was established in honor of Alfred and Elizabeth Nyarko, the patriarch and matriarch of the Nyarko family, whose lives were marked by humility, service, discipline, and a deep commitment to uplifting others. They believed strongly in education, hard work, and equipping young people with practical skills as a pathway to dignity, purpose, and self-sufficiency. Their vision was not limited to personal success but extended to the transformation of families and communities.

 

This Foundation brings that vision to life by addressing the urgent needs of underserved youth in Eduafo, Ghana, and beyond where limited access to education and economic opportunity has contributed to cycles of poverty and teenage pregnancy. Through a tuition-free vocational tailoring program, students receive professional instruction, daily meals, training materials, and start-up kits at no cost, enabling them to graduate with employable skills and a viable means of livelihood. The foundation has also undertaken several projects like healthcare registration and donations, sustainable employments, among others.

 

The Foundation was founded by their sons, Mr. Samuel Nyarko and Mr. Sampson Nyarko, together with the entire Nyarko family, who remain actively involved in leadership, oversight, and sustainability. The Nyarko family provides ongoing monthly financial support for the upkeep of the vocational training school and has personally funded the program’s infrastructure, including a fully equipped learning center, sewing machines, community state of the art church building, and land reserved for future expansion and projects.

 

Through this work, the Alfred Elizabeth Nyarko Foundation transforms the values and vision of Alfred and Elizabeth Nyarko into lasting impact, creating opportunity, restoring hope, and building a legacy of empowerment for future generations.
